Gwinnett County Police are looking for a suspect in connection to a possible gang-related shooting that took place Wednesday (Sept. 18) in unincorporated Snellville.

This incident is unrelated but close in proximity to Sunday's triple homicide

According to Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith, the wanted man is Brandon Drummond, a 20-year-old black male who is 6 feet tall and 195 pounds. Detectives consider him armed and dangerous.

Drummond is accused of shooting a man in the head at 4491 Raptor Place near Lee Road and Centerville Highway. Detectives believe the suspect was firing his shots from outside the home to the inside, and one of the bullets hit the victim inside.

The victim called authorities around 5:30 p.m., and an ambulance transported him to a local hospital. Smith told Patch that the bullet only grazed his head, so the injury is considered non-life threatening and he is expected to survive.

The suspect fled the scene. The possibility of the shooting being a gang-related incident is under investigation, Smith said.

This incident is only half a mile away from Sunday's quadruple shooting that resulted in the death of a woman, her 12-year-old son and her 19-year-old godson. Gwinnett Police believe suspect Robert Bell may be out of the state. Police released the 911 calls of both the neighbor and the only surviving victim, the woman's boyfriend.

Anyone with information on Drummond is asked to call Gwinnett County Police detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-557-TIPS (8477).  Anyone encountering Drummond should call 911.
