Soldier, Brookwood Grad Set for Return to U.S.

Justin Lansford is expected to arrive at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday.

Justin Lansford, a graduate, is recovering after a Thursday surgery to repair injuries suffered during a road-side bomb in Afghanistan.

According to a report by the Gwinnett Daily Post, Lansford is set to arrive at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centeron Friday, following abdominal surgeries and a procedure to amputate his left leg below the knee.

Lansford, who played football for the Brookwood Broncos, was injured while on a mission to assist a unit with an inoperable vehicle.Β
