City Council Meeting December 12

Jam-packed council meeting for Monday.

Snellville City Council will meet December 12 for its first regular meeting of the month. The 7:30 p.m. meeting will be preceded by a work session at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at City Hall. You may view the full agenda documents here.

  • Work session discussion items, include: City attorney engagement letter, , amendments to building regulations, zoning of personal care homes, application for an automotive parts store on Oak Road, Market Street Services, Inc., LCI update, code enforcement, qualifications for Downtown Development Authority, Oak Road park, change in city parliamentarian, ethics ordinances, and mayor pro tem.
  • Regular meeting items, include:
    • Ceremonial matters: Resolution recognizing volunteers at the Snellville tree lighting
    • Committee/department reports: Snellville Tourism and Trade Association, Evermore CID, Planning Commission, and audit presentation
    • Old business: None
    • Public hearing: None
    • New business: Consideration and action on: board and commission appointments, city attorney's engagement letter, mobile stage, resolution opposing crematory in Gwinnett near city limit, moratorium on personal care and nursing homes, city parliamentarian, standards of conduct/ethics/conflicts of interest for city leaders (deriving from Councilman Mike Sabbagh's appearance before Marietta City Council), and a right-of-way contract for LCI study.
