City Council Meeting May 14

Snellville City Council meets to discuss a number of key items, including an interim city manager contract, an economic strategic plan, and condemnation procedures for pending LCI projects.

Snellville City Council will meet May 14 for its first regular meeting of the month. The 7:30 p.m. meeting will be preceded by a work session at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at City Hall. You may view the full agenda documents here.

  • Work session discussion items include: Market Street Services Inc. presentation, request, purchase of radio console for dispatch, stormwater ordinance, 2012 budget amendments, shirts for GMA convention attendees, 2013 budget, public arts commission, open meetings/open records, interim city manager contract, lease for community garden property, Bluesprings Youth Soccer Association contract, Transportation Investment Act projects and LCI update.
  • Regular meeting items, include:
    • Ceremonial matters: National Public Works Week and Snellville Entrepreneur Day
    • Committee/department reports: Evermore CID, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Urban Redevelopment Agency
    • Public hearing: Consideration and action on: an application for personal care home.
    • New business: Consideration and action on: approval of light pole banners around the town green for the farmers' market, membership in the Gwinnett County Urban County CDBG program, strategic action plan of Market Street Services, Inc., and LCI improvements and condemnation procedures.
    • Other: Council reports, mayor's report, public comment.
