City, County Offices Closed on Labor Day

See which Gwinnett County and city of Snellville government offices and services won't be in operation Monday, Sept. 2.

For most of us, Labor Day offers an extra day to the weekend, whether it's to relax at home or spend it on a small out-of-town getaway.

The Monday holiday also means some city and county offices and services will not be open for the day. For the city of Snellville, city offices and the recycling center will be closed Sept. 2. Emergency services and garbage pickup will operate as usual, though.

All Gwinnett County government offices, with the exception of those operations required for the comfort and safety of residents, also will be closed Monday. A Magistrate Court judge will be available at the Gwinnett County Detention Center during the holiday, though.

County collections for trash and recycling will continue, too. The Gwinnett County Solid Waste and Recycling Call Center will be closed that day, but hauler call centers will remain open.

Both the county and city will resume normal business hours Tuesday (Sept. 3).
