As three Democrats faced off in the July 31st primary for House District 93, only one came out smiling.
Dar'Shun Kendrick, formerly District 94 Rep., won the race with 60.39% of the vote.
, a first time candidate, came in second with 29.36% while came in with 10.25%.
"I guess it wasn't meant to be," said Williams on his Facebook page. "I am truly indebted to everyone who supported my campaign as we ran what we thought was as good a race to win as anyone........thanks!"
Dawston was upbeat today, although he came in third in the race for District 93
"My plan for moving forward is to continue to promote entrepreneurship, work with veterans in our community, and churches in our community," he said. "Veterans are my passion, entrepreneurship is key to our community, and I'm going to continue being devoted to that."
Kendrick could not be immediately reached for comment.
Kendrick will face in November's general election.
