GECC, Best Practices for Board Appointments: Snellville City Council Meeting Agenda, Jan. 27

The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. with a work session preceding it.

The Snellville City Council and mayor will meet Monday (Jan. 27) for their second meeting of the month. 

The regular meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers of Snellville City Hall. A work session will precede it at 6:30 p.m. in Conference Room 145.

The items on the work session agenda include: 

  • An update on staff iPads
  • Discussion on the SPLOST project list
  • Discussion on Home-Brew Special Events Ordinance
  • Best practices for board appointments
The following items are on the agenda for the regular meeting: 
  • Action on the Home-Brew Special Events Ordinance
  • Improvements to the town green
  • Resolution for adding the Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce as the official chamber of commerce for the city
  • Contract approval for design services of Briscoe Park Phase II and Briscoe Park Master Plan update
  • Mayor's nomination and council's confirmation of the appointment of Penny Smith to the Urban Redevelopment Agency
  • Reappointment of Tod Warner to the Urban Redevelopment Agency, sponsored by Mayor Pro Tem Tom Witts
  • Mayor's nomination and council's confirmation of the appointment of Claudette Forbes to the Snellville Public Arts Commission
