Motorcycle Crossing Signs to Be Installed in Snellville

The signs have been donated by Councilman Bobby Howard and Allstate agents in the Snellville area.

Snellville City Councilman Bobby Howard, along with Allstate agents Dale Gainey, Ralph Martin and Todd Croker, all in Snellville, are encouraging motorcycle safety in Snellville by installing “Motorcycle Crossing” signs at several intersections within the city.

Warmer weather brings more motorcycle enthusiasts to the roadways and the new signage will help remind all motorists to be more mindful of sharing the roads, according to a recent statement from the City of Snellville. According to the Centers for Disease Control there has been a dramatic increase in motorcycle-related injuries and deaths since 2000. The City of Snellville and Allstate want to make the roadways safer for all motorists and remind everyone to be more careful.

The new signage will showcase Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 2984 Main Street West in Snellville. There, Snellville City Councilman Bobby Howard, Dale Gainey and Ralph Martin, along with citizens of Snellville and members of the local motorcycle community will be on hand for the sign installations.
