Online Poll: Cast Your Vote on Sunday Alcohol Sales

Snellville Mayor Jerry Oberholtzer wants to bring Sunday alcohol retail sales to the city. Where do you stand?

Snellville city leaders are looking at adding a referendum on Sunday alcohol sales to the ballot for the November elections.

Nothing is official in Snellville, yet. However, Gov. Nathan Deal has signed a law allowing municipalities to decide whether to put the issue to voters, and the way is paved for Snellville to join other areas in bringing Sunday alcohol retail sales to the city.

Loganville has already decided, and Lilburn may not be too far behind. If the measure is added in Snellville, residents will decide whether retail sales of beer, liquor and wine will be allowed in stores on Sundays. (No more running out Saturday, or getting to the counter on Sunday only to be told, "Oh, don't you know we don't sell alcohol on Sundays."
