Protest Planned at South Gwinnett to Demand that Congress Stop Sequestration

On a furlough day at a Gwinnett County public school, local leaders and teachers are coming together to highlight the impact of reduced funding for public education and to demand that Congress stop sequestration immediately.

Local leaders and teachers, organized by Georgia Fair Share, will gather to speak out against across the board cuts to vital programs, like K-12 education and Head Start, particularly discussing how cuts will impact Georgia families.  Speakers will call on Rep. Woodall to repeal the Sequester by eliminating massive corporate tax loopholes, like those that cost Georgia $569 million in tax revenue last year, according to organizer Jason Pfeifle.

When:

Where:
South Gwinnett High School, 2288 East Main Street, Snellville, GA 30078
