“This is an annual event I do to engage business owners with their community and I am so happy that the Stonecrest Business Alliance has accepted this partnership with me,” stated Rep. Kendrick. “This will be a great night of food, fellowship and fun as we raise money for two very deserving charities that service constituents in my District.”

The two charities chosen to receive funds from the fundraiser are the Beverly Cunningham Outreach Program founded by Roderick Cunningham who support survivors domestic violence through programs and initiatives and the IXGEN program that encourageswomen and youth entrepreneurship. “IXGEN believes that the youth of today have to be trained to become the leaders of the future, and women need more encouragement and support as they increasingly become heads of households and bread winners. Empowering these two groups through academics and entrepreneurship education can be one of the most effective strategies for providing themwith opportunities to develop character, confidence, and competence,” said Emmenette Mason, the President/CEO of IXGEN, Inc.
