Snellville was the last city in Gwinnett to adopt the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday. Despite the adoption of the celebration in 2007, 2012 saw the first official parade.

The group will leave at 11 a.m. on Jan. 21 at New Jerusalem; the city is invited to line up at 10:45. The parade will stretch from the church, located at 1958 Dogwood Road, to City Hall. (You can park at either City Hall or Texas Roadhouse and a shuttle will take you to where you need to go.)
