Snellville City Hall to Open Jan. 29 at Noon; Recycling, Courts, Senior Center Closed

City office and services are limited Wednesday due to the snow in the winter storm.

Snellville City Hall will open Wednesday (Jan. 29) at noon, according to the city spokesman Brian Arrington

The Snellville Recycling Center, Senior Center and city courts will be closed, though. Recycling will reopen Thursday, weather permitting. Snellville City Hall will be open until 5 p.m.

Snow has been falling in Gwinnett County ever since 11 a.m. Tuesday and has been slowly accumulating. The snow is expected to continue mainly until midnight, with a total of one to two inches sticking, according to the National Weather Service. Tomorrow's forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 35.

Gwinnett County Public Schools have announced that they will close Wednesday

With the roads, Gwinnett County officials believe they are prepared for the winter storm in terms of employees on hand, snow plows, and salt and sand spreader gates. Still, drivers are cautioned to stay off the roads until midday Wednesday.
