The Snellville City Council will meet Monday, January 23, 2012.

Snellville City Council will meet Jan. 23 for its second regular meeting of the month. The 7:30 p.m. meeting will be preceded by a work session at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at City Hall. You may view the full agenda documents here.

  • Work session discussion items, include: Personal care homes, Forrest Hills Baptist Church, bill for city attorney, executive sessions regulations, video of work sessions, city attorney work authorization and LCI update.
  • Regular meeting items, include:
    • Committee/department reports: Board of Appeals and mid-year (fiscal year) financial report
    • Consent agenda: Consideration and action on: Resolution to open an investigation into possible city ethics violations (deriving from Councilman Mike Sabbagh's appearance before Marietta City Council)
    • Old business: Consideration and action on: Solid waste ordinance (second reading), town center overlay district (second reading), automotive parts store on Oak Road (second reading), and building regulations (second reading)
    • New business: Consideration and action on: board and commission appointments, selection of parliamentarian, allowing council comment on city attorney engagement letter, election of mayor pro tem
    • Other: Council reports, mayor's report, public comment
