Snellville Council Meeting May 23

City Council will hold its second meeting of the month.

Snellville City Council will meet May 23 for its second regular meeting of the month. The 7:30 p.m. meeting will be preceded by a work session at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at City Hall. You may view the full agenda documents here.

  • Work session discussion items, include: LCI staff report, Sunday alcohol sales, work hours policy, senior center update, Snellville Days update, Snellville Tourism and Trade Association budget, code enforcement, discussion of old public works facility.
  • Regular meeting items, include:
    • Committee/department reports: Board of Appeals, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
    • Consent agenda: Consideration and action on (first reading): an application for a local NTB, the 2012 city budget, and county health uniform health regulations, special events ordinance, and hotel/motel tax ordinance
    • Public hearing: Consideration and action on (second reading): buffer and screening requirements, various sections of the zoning ordinance, and RealtyLink application
    • New business: Consideration and action on: annual resurfacing and paving bid, Urban Redevelopment Agency revisions, and open record policy revisions
