Snellville Council Meeting May 9

Snellville meets for its regular meeting Monday.

Snellville City Council will meet May 9 for its first regular meeting of the month. The 7:30 p.m. meeting will be preceded by a work session at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at City Hall. You may view the full agenda documents here.

  • Work session discussion items, include: Solid waste franchise, county uniform health regulations ordinance, open records policy, special events ordinance, LCI staff report, 2012 budget ordinance and Urban Redevelopment Agency revisions.
  • Regular meeting items, include:
    • Committee/department reports: Snellville Tourism and Trade Association, Evermore CID, Planning Commission
    • Consent agenda: Consideration and action to repeal a zoning ordinance related to buffers, consideration and action on zoning ordinances, consideration and action to amend zoning map (application of Realty Link, LLC), and consideration and action on quit claim deeds for right of way on New Hampton Drive
    • Public hearing: Consideration and action on occupation tax hardship ordinance (Second reading)
    • New business: Consideration and action on occupation tax schedule, consideration and action on solid waste franchise
