Vacant Spaces: What Do You Want Here?

Snellville Patch is starting an occasional feature looking at vacant big boxes, overgrown residential areas and the like, and asking what would you want there.

A quick Gwinnett County property search of this rundown and vacant site showed there is actually a plan for it.

The space, located at 1637 Athens Highway, Grayson, is on the Snellville city line and near Summit Chase subdivision.

It used to be a ReMax office, which opened in 2004 but it is now closed. It's owned by William Perdue Jr, a Dacula resident. There's also a pretty nuisance-looking, overgrown property next door that needs to go. That's my opinion.

For the ReMax site, the applicant Richard Warren, wants to turn it into a crematory. (UhhhOhhh. We know where this could go.)

The site is pending approval.

If you want to have your say-so, there's a planning commission hearing on January 3, and a Board of Commissioners hearing on January 24.

But, here's the question Snellville. If you do not want a crematory, what would you put there? Let us know in the comment section.
