Snellville a Top 10 Pick Among Best Cities for Home Ownership

NerdWallet ranked Snellville second-best among Gwinnett cities.

Snellville has been dubbed the seventh best place for homeowners in the state of Georgia.

That's according to an analysis done by NerdWallet, which examined 68 cities with populations exceeding 15,000 to determine if they had characteristics that were most favorable to home buyers.

In its analysis, NerdWallet reviewed if homes were available in the area, if residents could afford to live in that particular city and if the city is growing.

According to the report:

Snellville features the lowest monthly homeowner cost in our top 10 with an average of $1,471 and the highest homeownership rate of any place on our top 10 list at 87.4%. A northeastern suburb of Atlanta, Snellville offers the lure of the city and the charms of the countryside. Stone Mountain State Park and Stone Mountain Golf Club are just 10 miles away.
