Reverend Elijah Collins- Thug

People were shocked amazed and upset after Reverend Elijah Collins's blatant race baiting and thuggery at the last Snellville city council meeting. He openly threatened the city council members, he tried to make a legal issue into a racial issue and he was unbelievably rude and disrespectful when he signaled the members of his congregation to rise and leave while another person was at the podium speaking.

It is very obvious to anyone who was there that Reverend Collins planned ahead of time to create a racial divide. He had all of his recruited people sit on one side of the audience. That made it easy for him to speak about the divided audience and make it seem like racism is a big problem in the city. All this was planned ahead of time and the proof is that none of his flock looked or acted surprised when he motioned them to rise and leave. They did not reach for coats or other things because they had already been picked up long before Rev. Collins gave the exit signal.

None of that is thuggery. Threats to the council is thuggery. Rev Collins did not use these words but he pretty much said "you better approve a black person for the next open position or else".

Rev. Collins will probably try to spin the story and say he is just trying to bring unity to the community. That is the slogan that he uses for the Martin Luther King day celebration. Do you think he does not understand that trying to divide a community does not create unity? Of course he does and that  makes his thuggery all the worse. He is asking for unity and at the same time his actions are trying to divide the city.
