After School Activities Canceled Jan. 28 for Gwinnett County Public Schools

All after school and evening activities have been cancelled Tuesday (Jan. 28) for Gwinnett County Public Schools, according to the school system.

The closings come after snow has been accumulating in the metro Atlanta area. Walton and Gwinnett county could get as much as two inches through early Wednesday (Jan. 29). 

There is no word yet on any cancellations for Wednesday for Gwinnett or Walton County Schools. Walton posted the following message on its website: 

"We are monitoring road conditions and will inform parents through an emergency school messenger phone call if it is decided that school will be canceled on Wednesday, January 29th."

Walton County Schools announced previously that class would close two hours early Tuesday and all after school activities would not take place, either.
