Back to School: Open Houses

Schools throughout the district will host open houses next week. Many will be on August 4.

Beginning next week, parents and students will have the chance to visit classrooms and teachers for the upcoming new school year.

Throughout the district, schools will be open at select times from August 1-5. Many schools plan to host open houses on August 4. (See below for Snellville schools.) On these days, school faculty and staff will share details on back-to-school, such as picking up schedules, getting assigned lockers and parking, meeting teachers, paying for school meals, and joining the local PTA, among other activities.

Regarding meals, many schools are offering parents the chance to register for the online payment system, MealpayPlus. These online activities include payments for lunches, fees and contributions, and and electronically signing school forms.

Current GCPS students who are moving from one grade level to another do not need to re-register at their new middle or high school. Parents unsure of which school their child will attend should call the district's Department of Planning at (678) 301-7085.
