Brookwood Administrator moves to Maxwell High

As Donna Powers retires from Maxwell High School of Technology, a well-known administrator from Brookwood High School will move in to lead the school.

Jeff Hall, currently an assistant principal, will become Maxwell's newest principal effective June 1. He has been with the Gwinnett County school system since 1998, when he started as a business education and journalism teacher at Shiloh High School.

Since that time, Hall has been an assistant principal at both Shiloh and Brookwood high schools, and at Commerce High School in Commerce, Ga. In addition to education, Hall also has experience in human resources, business, marketing, and advertising.

• 2006-2007: Assistant principal, Commerce High School, Commerce, Ga.
• 2003-2006: Assistant principal, Shiloh High
• 1998-2003: Department chair, business education and journalism teacher, and coach, Shiloh High

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree, major in journalism and telecommunications – Georgia College and State University
• Master’s degree of business administration – Georgia College and State University
• Leadership Certification – University of Georgia
• Doctoral degree in workforce education (projected finish date August 2011) – University of Georgia
• Hall is also a graduate of the school system’s 2009 Quality-Plus Leader Program, Aspiring Principal Program.
