Four Snellville Residents Graduate from Piedmont College

All four graduates are in the education field.

At its recent December commencement ceremony, Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga., awarded degrees to 400 students. Among the graduates were the following area residents:

  • Emily Doster Chesser of Snellville, earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Abayomi Famojure Miller of Snellville, earned an Education Specialist degree
  • Bernardette Pilar Smith of Snellville, earned an Education Specialist degree
  • Cheryl Laidler Wallace of Snellville, earned an Education Specialist degree

Piedmont College is an independent liberal arts college of about 2,600 students with campuses located in Demorest and Athens, Ga. Founded in 1897, the college offers undergraduate degrees in 44 major areas and graduate degrees in education and business, including doctoral degrees in education.
