Why Go: South Gwinnett High's boys' basketball team is hosting a very interesting fundraiser. They're selling mattresses, yes, those comfy, or not-so-comfy things we sleep on. All kinds will be there for you to browse, and you get $50 off the purchase of each one. All proceeds are going directly to the basketball team. So, seriously, if you need a new mattress, this is the place to go.

2. Defending Champs Take to Field

When/Where: November 18, 7:30 p.m., Hallford Stadium, 3789 Memorial College Drive, Clarskton (This is the stadium at the central campus of Georgia Perimeter College, just off of Memorial Drive.)
Why Go: So, we're getting close. And, now takes on M.L. King High School. (They're a really good team. So, we shouldn't think this will be easy.) If we win here, it means we will be just steps away from reclaiming the title. Lassiter High and McEachern High are also playing. Whoever wins that match is who will play against if we win this Friday. Goooooo Broncos!

3. Christmas at Stone Mountain
When/Where: Nov. 12 - Dec. 31, 10 a.m., Stone Mountain Park, 1126 Stonewall Jackson Drive, Stone Mountain
Why Go: The lights always look so pretty, and Stone Mountain Park really tries to do it up. There will be 2 million twinkling lights, lots of holiday performances and hot chocolate, of course. Go, and be sure to bring your camera for some great family memories.

4. Pets Get Sick, Too
When/Where: November 19, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., AARF Pet Central, 6570 James B. Rivers Drive, Stone Mountain
Why Go: Pets get sick, too, and they need vaccinations just like their human friends. Low-cost vaccination packets, tests, heartworm medication and dewormer available will be available for your favorite feline or pooch. No appointment is need, but you know what that means. You will need to get their early if you want to be seen. All dogs must be on a leash, and cats should be in a carrier.

5. Hockey and Happy Feet
When/Where: November 18, 7:35 p.m., Gwinnett Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth
Why Go: The Gwinnett Gladiators will take on the South Carolina Stingrays. And, on this evening, it will be especially great for kids. Erik from "Happy Feet Two" will make a special appearance. Erik will distribute key chains and cool, temporary tattoos while meeting with fans, as well.
