Gwinnett Schools To Hold Special Hiring Event
The session will be for critical-needs teaching positions on April 16 in Suwanee.
The Gwinnett County school system will be holding a job fair soon to try to fill critical-needs positions.
The event will be Saturday, April 16, at Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee. The system said that only teachers who are certified or will be certified in math, science, and special education by fall 2011 will be eligible.
Candidates who have passed both GACE Basic Skills and GACE Content Assessment in these fields are also eligible to attend.

People interested must request to attend the fair (8 a.m.-noon) via a special process on the GCPS website.
The school system has allowed for critical-needs hiring in its proposed 2011 budget, which is scheduled for adoption in May. Most hiring has been frozen.
