Mom Thanks Brookwood High for Years of Support

Julie Allen reaches out to the Snellville high school for being integral part of her family's life. Her daughter, Taylor, is this year's valedictorian.

The graduation of Brookwood High's valedictorian is especially important to one long-time educator -- her mother.

In 2010, Julie Allen retired with 31 years in education, and with 21 of those years in Gwinnett County Public Schools, including Jones Middle and South Gwinnett High.

She graduated as a Bronco, and now her daughter, Taylor, is doing the same.

Here is an excerpt, provided by Gwinnett County Public Schools:

"It is hard to believe 27 years ago my husband and I were tossing our BHS caps into the air, and now it is Taylor's turn. From the beginning, Brookwood has always been an incredible school, and I attribute that to such strong leadership from the administration and motivation from the teachers. We feel blessed to have each one of you guide, nurture, and support Taylor the past four years."
