Shiloh High Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Gwinnett County Public Schools releases names of Shiloh High School's valedictorian and salutatorian.

Gwinnett Public Schools released today the names of the valedictorian and salutatorian from .

The title of valedictorian is normally given to the student with the highest GPA, and salutatorian is given to the student with the second-highest GPA. Photos of the honorees are attached to the story.

Javier Prusky Grinberg, son of Susana Falagian and Hugo Falagian, will attend Syracuse University. His intended major is acting, and he plans to be a professional actor in films and theater and eventually direct and produce. He has received or been offered several scholarships and awards, including a $12,000 Founder's Scholarship from Syracuse University, 2011 Governor's Honors Program, AP Scholar with honors, National Sciences Award from the United States Achievement Academy, and the Varsity Swim Team All County Senior Academic Award, among many other honors.

In addition to his numerous honors, Grinberg is founding president of Shiloh High' s HUGS Club (Helping Unite General Students), which is designed to bring together all of the school's students regardless of disabilities. He also participates in: National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Shiloh Onstage Theatre and Mu Alpha Theta, among other school activities. Outside high school, Grinberg voluneers at Relay for Life, participates at and has helped raise money for Japanese disaster relief.

Salutatorian:

Debbie Boyett, daughter of Melody Boyett, will attend Georgia Tech. Her intended major is biochemistry, and she plans to work in the medical field, possibly as a doctor serving abroad. She has received or been offered several scholarships and awards, including full tuition through the Zell Miller scholarship, Honor Roll, Georgia Merit scholar, Most Valuable Player Award (Cross Country), and AP Scholar with Distinction, among other honors.

School activities include: captain of the Cross Country ream, Yearbook staff, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, board member for Shiloh Alliance for Community Improvement and the senior Beta Club. Outside high school, Boyett also has volunteered at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, helped at local nursing homes and volunteered a several road races in metro Atlanta.
