South Gwinnett Cluster Foundation Presents Grant to Norton Elementary

The matching grant was for a Student Response System.

This past Thursday, the South Gwinnett Cluster Foundation provided students at R.L. Norton Elementary a matching grant for a Student Response System.

The request came from LSTC (Local School Technology Coordinator) at Norton Elementary, Ms. Jennifer Martin. According to the grant application, “The introduction of student response system technology would provide a quick, anonymous way to evaluate student understanding of concepts introduced in the classroom, science lab, resource, and Special Area classes. The technology could also be used as part of district wide testing.”

The presentation preceded the Program “Music in our School” with a warm welcome from Principal Dr. Terry Watlington. Present were Board Members Jimmy Norton, Kelly McAloon, and Treasurer Angela Sneed.
