Three Brookwood Girls to be Honored in Signing Ceremony

Following their commitment to Georgia teams, a signing ceremony is scheduled today, Nov. 29, in their honor.

Three Brookwood girls will be honored today, Nov. 29, for their athletic accomplishments and signings with college teams. 

Mandy Blackwell, the daughter of Wade and Trish Blackwell, has signed with Georgia State. According to the Gwinnett Daily Post, she was the Gwinnett County Diamond Club player of the year as a senior and "earned all-county honors for the fourth straight season."

Blackwell is a catcher who was named Gwinnett County Player of the Year in 2012 and was a two-time All-State selection, according to Georgia State.

Megan Litumbe has also commited to Georgia State. She is the daughter of Daniel and Matilda Litumbe, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post, and earned all-county honors for three seasons in a row. An outfielder, she was also named All-State and All-County during the 2011 season, according to Georgia State.

Susan Norris has commited to the University of Evansville. She is the daughter of Tom and Jennifer Morris and was selected as the Gwinnett Diamond Club's county defensive player of the year this past season, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post.
