These whiz kids placed third in the state track meet over the past weekend.

Accomplishments: The placed third overall in the state championship meet for Region 8-AAAAA. The team had an overall score of 42 points, and it placed behind M.L. King High School and Westlake High School. There were a number of second- and third- place individual winners, as well. Second-place finishers included: QuanDra Shanks, in the 800 meter run; Caroline Kissel, in the 1600 meter run; and Brittany Brown, in the pole vault. Third-place finishers included: QuanDra Shanks, in the 1600 meter run; and Caroline Kissel, in the 3200 meter run.
Key to Awesomeness: Th girls track team place third in the state, after placing fourth in the state in 2009. Over the school's history, the girls' track team has also placed first: 1985, 1990, 1991, 1992, and in 1994. Go Broncos!
