ESPN to Televise South Gwinnett High Football Game Aug. 24
The game will be Aug. 24 against Lincoln High from Florida. It will be televised as part of the ESPN High School Football Kickoff series.
South Gwinnett High is one 26 teams that will participate in the ESPN High School Football Kickoff series, which airs Aug. 23-25.
The South Gwinnett game is Aug. 24, and the Comets will play Lincoln High School out of Florida. The game takes place 3:30 p.m. at Norcross High.
It is one of only four that will televised by ESPN. Other teams will air on sister channels ESPNEWS, ESPNU and ESPN2.
One other Gwinnett County team's game also will be carried by ESPN. That's reigning state champs Norcross High, which plays against Florida team Booker T. Washington High from Florida.
This is the first year that Georgia teams have participated in the ESPN Kickoff series.
