at : The original “Battle of Snellville,” this year’s South-Brookwood game has the added importance of playoff positioning in Region 8-AAAAA. Brookwood (3-2, 2-1), the defending Class AAAAA champ, is in need of a victory to keep pace with league’s top teams. The Comets of South Gwinnett (1-4, 1-2) can’t afford another loss at this point. South has shown it can play with anybody, and Brookwood has shown it can be challenged (a tight 21-19 win over Archer two weeks ago was proof of that). If the Brookwood team that beat Central Gwinnett 56-14 last week is the one that shows up Friday, it should be a Broncos win. But don't be surprised by an upset. Brookwood 27, South Gwinnett 20.

Grayson at : Grayson is clearly the best team in Region 8-AAAAA, and maybe even the state. Shiloh will be hard-pressed to keep pace. Grayson 42, Shiloh 14.
