Parkview Beats Brookwood 21-14
Carson scores two touchdowns as Parkview wins the annual "Battle of Five-Forks Trickum."
Chris Carson rushed for two touchdowns, including a 73-yarder on his second carry, as Parkview beat Brookwood 21-14 Friday night at the Big Orange Jungle in Lilburn.
Quarterback Mac Marshall added a 95-yard touchdown run on a quarterback bootleg and the Parkview defense stiffened in the final minutes to put the Panthers (4-1, 3-0) firmly in first place in the Region 8-AAAAAA standings.
Brookwood, which trailed 21-7 before coming back and threatening to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, fell to 2-2, 1-1. Jamaal Cole scored both of the Broncos touchdowns.
