The Eagles came out in the second half ahead, 37-25, which might explain why they were a little flat in the third period. Milton only managed 13 points in that period, but the best Shiloh could do was match them with 13, missing an opportunity to shave some points off the Eagles' lead.

Milton seemed to own the offensive boards, except when an Eagle drove in to the basket with no teammates underneath. On the other end, the Generals scrambled for every rebound, but seemed tentative on going up for shots and tip ins. The physical play of the Eagles can take advantage of that kind of apparent weakness. Though a blocked shot by Shiloh showed they weren't that intimidated by the higher seed Eagles.
