Viewfinder: Archery Learning Center

Archery Learning Center, located in Fountain Square in Snellville, offers classes and shooting practice for all ages.

With the forthcoming movie "The Hunger Games," based on the best selling book trilogy, the sport of archery is in the spotlight.Β 

Archery is a sport for all ages. Learning has never been easier, the Archery Learning Center has classes for adults on Saturdays from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., and for children on Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. for beginners. They also offer a Friday class at 1 p.m. for home-schooled students. Equipment is available for rent for beginners, and they carry a full line of archery products for the more experienced shooter.Β 

Archery Learning Center is the home of the Snellville Stingers Archery Team, which is a part of the Junior Olympic Archery Development (J. O. A. D.).Β  The team is open to any youth archer 6 - 19 years old.

The program is a series of classes taught at Archery Learning Center by a "Level 4" certified coach Ginger Hopwood. Classes focus on range safety and propert shooting technique.

Students are elligible to compete in local and regional tournaments with an ultimate goal to compete in the Olympics or the World Cup.
