Viewfinder: Summer Baseball at South Gwinnett High
South Gwinnett Comets hosted the Jeff Blount Memorial Tournament June 9-12 at South Gwinnett High School.
School may be out for summer but that doesn't mean that baseball is off season. High school teams are in the middle of what they call 30 games in 30 days. It is a time for players to keep their skills strong. It is also a time for coaches to get a look at the talent of the incoming freshman class and a time for some players to get a chance to play other positions.
The Comets beat Collins Hill 7-0 in the tournament.
