Rep. Dar'shun Kendrick at Your Service!

I'm pleased for the opportunity to blog on Patch. As a business attorney and business owner, I blog often on a variety of business and legal issues for my law firm so this is like a second home to me!

I was born and raised in Georgia, specifically DeKalb Co. My family has deep roots in Dekalb and Rockdale counties.

I have committed my life to service starting at the age of 18 when I interned for Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. In college, I worked with Young Democrats of Georgia and on Capitol Hill in D.C. for Congresswoman Denise Majette. I also founded the Young Democrats Chapter at Oglethorpe University, was a student advisor to the Kerry for President Campaign and served two (2) years on the State Capitol as a committee intern for the late Rep. George Maddox, my mentor and friend.

Today I had two (2) visitors from Rockdale county where I currently serve: Leadership Rockdale and the Rockdale NAACP. (pictures below). I LOVE having constituents visit the State Capitol almost as much as I love coming to the district and giving updates. You can contact my staff at www.kendrickforgeorgia.com and come on down!

I am also introducing THREE (3) really important pieces of legislation. View my youtube video below for more details.

You can follow me on Twitter @DarshunKendrick or Facebook at www.facebook.com/Darshun.Kendrick to keep up with me!

Sharon, the district has been re-drawn, and now includes the Snellville area. Snellville resident Glen William is also running for this specific post.

That's Glen Williams, with an "S"

I don't know why someone would tout any involvement with Cynthia McKinney as a positive.

It's to point out how long I've been in public service.

I'd use a different example if I were you. About the only thing she did in office was prove she didn't belong in office.
