Still Proud To Be a Democrat

Today I am even more proud to be a Democrat after Day 2 of the DNC.

If there were any doubt, last night at the convention, President Bill Clinton reminded us why we should be proud to be Democrats. President Clinton laid out in layman's terms how and why we are where we are today.

"He inherited a deeply damaged economy, put a floor under the crash, began the long hard road to recovery, and laid the foundation for a more modern, more well balanced economy that will produce millions of good new jobs," said the former President.

Enthusiasm was high as the roll was called. Each State gave a roaring endorsement, affirming the nomination of President Obama. Dr. Joseph Lowery served as the Chair of our delegation. Β

The American flag waving against the backdrop, the entire stadium on its feet, we again nominate President Barack Obama with pride. And we are proud knowing that "President Obama's plan cuts the debt, honors our values, and brightens the future for our children, our families and our nation," according to Clinton.

So, at the close of day 2 of the convention, having read the ugly responses from my last post, I sleep well, my spirit intact, again thanking God for my family, my country and my President.
