As of Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service is forecasting a 100% chance of rain for Independence Day.

Snellville Mayor Kelly Kautz said in an e-mail to Patch that Snellville Tourism and Trade is expected to make a decision about Star Spangled Snellville Wednesday.

"The kids bouncing units and several vendors will not set-up with even slight rain, so if it is cancelled most likely the whole event will be cancelled," said Kautz. "STAT was looking into another available date for the firework company but as you can imagine this is a very busy time for them."

Many other communities have decided their events will happen rain or shine. Find other fireworks shows nearby here.

Patch will keep you updated about the decision.
