Donate Old Bikes to Grace Church, Help Renew an Atlanta Community

Grace Church is putting old bicycles to good use.

The Snellville church is collecting old bicycles to donate to the Beltline Bike Shop in Atlanta.

The nonprofit organization teaches neighborhood children the value of hard work and community service. (See the attached video about the program.)

Once a child completes community service -- whether that's picking up trash or helping in the bike shop -- he or she earns a bicycle.

It's founders say it helps build important relationship, and teaches work ethic and community responsibility.

And, Grace Church in Snellville wanted to be a part of helping that the nonprofit meet its mission. That's why Grace Church is collecting bicycles.

The church already had one bicycle collection, and another will take place Sunday, June 30. Anyone is welcome to drop off old bicycles behind the church's main building from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
