10-Course Beer Dinner and a Golf Tournament for Horses: This Week in Snellville

Here are five things happening in Snellville from Sept. 9-14.

Here's what's happening in Snellville this week: 

1. City Council Meeting: The Snellville mayor and city council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday (Sept. 9) for its first meeting of the month. Find the agenda and more details here.

2. Summits Michigan Beer Dinner: Summits Wayside Tavern is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month with not only a different beer special everyday, but also a special 10-course meal featuring three Michigan beers. Click here for more details.

3. Children's Fall Consignment Sale: Snellville United Methodist Church is having a fall consignment sale from Wednesday (Sept. 11) to Saturday (Sept. 14). Clothing will range from infant sizes to size 14/16. Find more details at the link.

4. Holes for Horses: Parkwood Farms, the Snellville therapy center that faced eviction last year, is hosting a golf tournament Friday (Sept. 13) to help raise awareness of the need for therapy centers like itself. The cost to be a golf player is $130. Read more about the event here.

5. Blessing of the Animals: In addition to the fall consignment sale (see above), Snellville United Methodist Church also is having an event dedicated to dogs and cats. Bring your family pet by the church Saturday (Sept. 14) for live music, pet training and behavioral advice, and $10 rabies vaccinations and $10 microchipping. Don't forget to let the pastors bless your pets, too.
