Commerce Club Meeting, Tailgating and a Craft Bazaar: This Week in Snellville

Check out what's happening in Snellville from Sept. 30-Oct. 5.

Looking for something to do this week? Here's five of them in Snellville: 

1. Snellville Commerce Club Luncheon: The first Tuesday of the month marks the monthly Snellville Commerce Club meeting. Stop by city hall by noon Oct. 1 to grab some lunch from BigDaddyQue, hear about city and Snellville Tourism and Trade news, and listen to guest speaker Dr. Dan Kaufman talk about his new position as the CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. Guests have their first meeting for free, and after that the luncheon is $15. Members are always free. 

2. Blood Drive: Also at city hall, a blood drive will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday (Oct. 4). To learn more about blood donation opportunities, visit www.redcross.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS. 

3. "A Raisin in the Sun": New London Theatre's newest production hits the stage Friday (Oct. 4) and runs through Oct. 20. (Click here for a description of "A Raising in the Sun.") Showtimes are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $12.60 and can be purchased at the door or online here.

4. Shiloh High School Community Tailgate: Join the Shiloh and Snellville communities in supporting Shiloh High's Homecoming game by attending the school's second annual Community Tailgate this Friday (Oct. 4) at 5 p.m. There will be music, games and vendors, and admission is completely free. 

5. Zoar UMC Annual Craft Bazaar: Zoar United Methodist Church in Snellville is hosting its annual craft bazaar this Saturday (Oct. 5). There will be a kids area, concessions, a bake sale, a silent auction, door prizes and plenty of shopping. The bazaar starts at 9 a.m. at 3895 Zoar Church Rd.
