As the name suggests, Johnny's specializes in New York-style pizza. This family-friendly Italian restaurant offers great pizza, sub sandwiches, pasta, calzones, salads and deserts, using the freshest ingredients--and all at reasonable prices. It's apparently one of the fastest growing franchise chains in the southeast. Lunch specials are offered during the week and customers can dine-in, take-out or have food delivered, and the house-special pizza is available by the slice or by the pie. Regular toppings are available, but the more adventurous can opt for the range of specialty toppings such as artichoke hearts, pesto, eggplant, spinach, sliced meatballs or sundried tomatoes. For carb watchers, Johnny's can create a "doughless pizza" in a dish, with toppings, sauce and covered with cheese for the same price as a slice. A kid's menu is also available.
The spacious restaurant has a mix of tables and booths, and the red walls and black and white checkered table cloths lend Johnny's a casual, friendly ambience. Wine is available by the glass and beer is served on tap or by the bottle. Perfect for a weekday lunch with co-workers, weekend date night or Friday night family meal after the big game, Johnny's is sure to please.

Our family eats here regularly and are always pleased with the food. Pizzas and calzones are our usual fare and they never disappoint. Friendly servers, most of whom have worked there for a number of years, are also a plus. Johnny's isn't fancy and this location is not nearly as large as some of those that have opened more recently. But if you want good food and good service this is a great neighborhood place.
