10 involved, I guess technically those aren't being reported because they only attempted to cheat,Read More not break through a locked door. I heard that one of the two was slotted to be valedictorian. New wouldn't that make front page real news?
Amy Trip April 17, 2014 at 08:24 am
Note that they broke into more than one classroom. This was a huge scheme with texting and sharingRead More of those photos. I guess Brookwoods brightest aren't that smart.

'flame retardant'? Some stupid liberal will probably try to change that to 'flame handicapped'.
wmsmom April 13, 2014 at 09:15 pm
No, the name doesn't need to change when it's used in the proper context. Your thoughts areRead More handicapped though, if that helps?

If you want to find solutions to the discipline policies in Gwinnett County, consider training withRead More the Parent Leadership Institute (thepli.org) to learn ways to be an empowered agent of positive change in the lives of Gwinnett children.

Try charging the bully who beat him up with assault. Not the school who had nothing to do with it. ORead More yeah let's sue the school and state for a few millions $

Now if Georgia can get some jobs for these grads. Only 2 companies in the last engineering job fairRead More were from Georgia. Sad we send our best out of state!

Yeah GT!

Not all Tech grads can stay here in Georgia. We are spread across the world! Another result of theirRead More enrollment policy and the needs of the world! When you are one of the best, non Georgians want you. When I was looking for a job , I had a few out of state firms state that they would like to add a GT grad to their staff. Cross "pollination" I guess!

I live in Kennesaw and have two owls living in my woods. They dont like it when I even try to getRead More pics, I can only imagine how terrified the owl "mascot" must be. Dress someone in a mascot costume and quit using Gods beautiful animals as a sick way to entertain people. Phyllis, u just have to ignore those hateful responses, some people are just ignorant.
Kirsten February 26, 2014 at 11:06 pm
Exactly--interesting, Patch, how your "sampling" of comments used in the article seemsRead More decidely one-sided.

PETA actually DID try to get UGA to eliminate UGA and use a robotic dog. Not thinking that willRead More happen. Phyllis, so you're saying that we shouldn't have dogs as pets? REALLY? What is your suggestion to do with the abundance of dogs in the world? I am seriously asking you. And PETA has been documented with tossing euthanized dogs that they "rescued" into dumpsters, so PLEASE stop glorifying them.

Mike Ross , nicely stated! I couldn't agree more!!
David Tiffany March 2, 2014 at 10:04 am
While I agree, generally, with Mike Ross, he goes a bit overboard - just as the PETA people do. TheRead More owl undoubtedly lives better than other members of its species, rather than the other way around. PETA should spend its time and resources trying to protect animals that are truly being treated abusively. Mike should also tone it down. The people at PETA are not evil, but only want the best possible treatment for the animals that share our planet.
Gwinnett students have had seven snow days this school year.

PAY FOR MY CHILDCARE THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have lost enought money. My 'fantastic' jobRead More that promised PTO days LIED----- I CANT MISS ANYMORE WORK. Either make it a FULL DAY with normal hours or forget it. Guess my kids will be sick. Or checked out. Most families are two income; or single moms that already are behind. COME ON. THINK ABOUT MORE THAN PUSHING CHINAS CIRRICULIUM ON OUR BABIES.

GCPS was never going to forgive these days. Anyone that thought otherwise just was not thinkingRead More clearly. This plan is the lesser of all evils. More outrage and chaos would ensue if they had taken away Spring Break, and adding days to the end of the school year was the least viable option. Having the students adding onto a day where the students are already in the classroom makes the most sense. I also agree this is a financial decision, as this plan is the most cost effective. When operating a school system this large with already scarce resources, this plan works best. The reaction by a select few parents over this decision is alarming, as your children are watching and learning from your behavior. This is life folks - and flexibility is a huge part of being successful.
