Around forty students displayed their best work at Snellville City Hall.
As part of the first student art exhibition at City Hall, Brookwood students in the Visual Arts Program displayed some of their best work during a reception in their honor on Dec. 4. Four students from the Brookwood Orchestra, including Danny Hawkins, James Deaver, Ian Chen and Julia Bassell, provided live music in the form of a string quartet. Running through Dec. 30, the exhibit includes over forty pieces of artwork from students in various mediums. Students Jing Tan and Heidi Schureck both rushed over to the show after swim team, excited to have their work displayed at City Hall. Schureck, who is in AP art, used a combination of charcoal and pastels to create a work called "Crash." She was asked by her teacher to create a piece on …

The City of Snellville, Mayor Kelly Kautz and the Snellville Art Jurors are proud to announce that local art students from Brookwood High School will be on display at City Hall for the month of December as a continuation of the Art on the Wall at City Hall program. The public is invited to view original works of art by these talented students during the month of December in the community room at City Hall during normal business hours. Kautz and the Snellville Art Jurors are proud to announce abstract artist Donna Biggee as the next visual artist exhibiting artwork at City Hall as a continuation of the Art on the Wall at City Hall program. The public is invited to view original works of art by Donna Biggee during the month of November in the community room at city hall during normal business hours. A native daughter of Georgia, Donna Biggee has been inspired by fond memories of her experiences with family and friends in the south. Her landscapes capture the serenity of her roots and depict the vivid colors of the southern seasons. Donna works in pastels, oils, acrylics and watercolors. Babulski's unique art is on display at Snellville City Hall.
Now that David Babulski is retired and all his children are grown, he has plenty of time to devote to his many hobbies. Aside from playing the harp, building and flying model aircraft, creating medieval calligraphy and playing a 14th century Polish nobleman named Stefan with the Society for Creative Anachronism, Babulski is a skilled artist. A series of Babulski's art is on display at City Hall as part of their Art on the Wall project. Each of his paintings, which take two to three weeks each, features an enlarged view of a mineral deposit. Although he studied art in college and aspired to be a scientific illustrator, he didn't begin painting in earnest until 2001. His first work featured the minerals spangolite and azurite, which he …

The public is invited to view original works of art and mineral micromounts by Dr. Babulski during the month of September in the community room at city hall during normal business hours.
