Funeral Arrangements Have Been Made for Beverly Reece
A staff member at Tom Wages Funeral Home, Reece made scarves for the sick and was a founding member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.
Beverly Jane Smith Reece, age 77, of Snellville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, H. Andrew “Andy” Reece; son, Hugh Reece (Marie); daughter, Elizabeth Reece (Tom) Bettress; four grandchildren, Colin Reece, Tommy Bettress, Tyler Bettress, and Rachel Bettress; other relatives and a host of friends. Beverly was born in Birmingham, Ala., on September 12, 1934, to Thelma Maude Loper Smith and Hugh Lee Smith. She graduated from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, AL and attended Birmingham Southern College. She served as Church organist for 40 years in Alabama and Georgia.
