The elementary school was also recognized for its 'Family Friendly School Partnership' award.
As part of Britt Elementary's “Simple Strategies for Integrating Simple Technology: Any Class, Any Content, Any Day" initiative, staff requested a grant for $1,022, an amount that would cover the cost of seven Sony Bloggie Sport cameras. The cameras would support teaching strategies that integrate technology in a meaningful way. As flip-style cameras, they are easy for young students to use. In response to the request, the South Gwinnett Cluster Foundation presented the school with a grant for the full amount.
