Brookwood Boys Win Deep South Classic

The Dec. 29 basketball game was a close one as Brookwood battled the Sequoyah Chiefs.

The game was neck-and-neck up until the very end, when Brookwood defeated the Sequoyah Chiefs 66-61. Among the star players of the evening were guard Nate Gill, who hit both ends with 9.7 seconds remaining, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post, Tournament Most Valuable Player Deion Dedeaux, who finished with 13 points, and Kendall Joseph, who scored a total of 16 points.  R.J. Smith, originally on the bench, scored 11 points.  It is the fifth time Brookwood has won the tournament in 22 years.
