The 60-foot tall Christmas Tree next to Snellville City Hall will come to life on Saturday, Nov. 24th as the city of Snellville celebrates the 31st annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
Everything holiday related this time!
1. Snellville Christmas Fest When/Where: November 26, 3 p.m., Snellville City Hall, 2342 Oak Road, Snellville Why Go: There will be an afternoon of activities for children of all ages, including visits with Santa, carriage rides, craft activities and more. The evening will culminate with the big tree lighting at 7 p.m. Pricing: Entrance is free. 2. Santa, Pooches and Felines When/Where: November 27, 12 p.m. - 4 p.m., Gwinnett County Humane Society, Avenue at Webb Gin, 1350 Scenic Highway, Snellville Why Go: Celebrate the holidays with the local humane society. Government, Holiday Guide 2011 Gwinnett's Ready to Light Up the Holidays Gwinnett has announced its lineup for the 24th annual lighting of the county tree in Lawrenceville.
After Thanksgiving dinner is over, Gwinnett County invites everyone to come out and watch the lighting of the county's holiday tree. The festivities start Thursday, Nov. 24, at 5 p.m. at the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Lawrenceville. The evening will include music from the Class Act Band, The John King Band and Lawrenceville's own Catherine Kimbro. There will also be free face painting and arts and crafts for the kids. Fox 5 Atlanta reporter Randy Travis will once again serve as the event's emcee. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6 p.m., and Santa Claus will arrive around 6:45 p.m. During the celebration, Gwinnettians will also get the chance to make the holidays better for others.
