Adult Siblings Arrested After Confronting Alleged Bully at a Local Middle School

The older brother and sister of a student at Grace Snell Middle School were arrested last week when they went to the school and confronted a student they believe had bullied their sister.

Rashad Tre Levels, 19, and Leporscha Maurell Woods, 27, of 3608 Perserve Woods Lane, Loganville, were charged with terroristic threats and acts and remaining on school property without cause following an incident at Grace Snell Middle School last week. Woods was also charged with disorderly conduct. According to a report from Gwinnett County Schools Police, officials were called to Grace Middle School in Loganville during lunch break on Jan. 25, 2013. Officials at the school reported that Woods and Levels had arrived at the school to have lunch with a sibling. During the visit they confronted another student accused of bullying their sister. Lockdown at Elementary and Middle School Draws Ire from Parents

Parents of students at Magill Elementary and Grace Snell Middle say schools should do more to inform parents of what's going on during a lockdown.

After the frightening lockdown at Magill Elementary and Grace Snell Middle on the afternoon of Jan. 9, parents are calling for schools to communicate more openly during a time of crisis.  Patch reader Garrett Cronnelly posted the following comment on the original story: "To Magill Elementary Administrators: While we felt secure that our children were being protected by procedures and their teachers, we felt that the lack of communication from Magill and Grace Snell Administrators for 1 1/2 hours from the school was ridiculous and terrifying.  A simple recorded message would have been sufficient to calm our fears. Craig, I feel you are missing a very important aspect to the lockdown scenario. Dozens of vehicles continued to arrive at JC Magill "AFTER" the school was locked down, putting many more lives potentially into harm's way. UPDATED: Grace Snell Middle Evacuated, Threat Called In

Threat was called in just before 9 a.m.

UPDATED: By 10:05 a.m., the school's students, faculty and staff were given the all-clear to re-enter the school, according to a tweet on Gwinnett County Public School's Twitter account. Grace Snell Middle School, which serves children in Snellville, was evacuated just before 9 a.m. this morning, according to Gwinnett County Public School spokesman Jorge Quintana. "Grace Snell MS is currently evacuating as a precaution due to a threat that was called into the school," Quintana said. "All students are safe and nothing has occurred at the school.
